Yeast Dinner Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions
 

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • Prepare Wet Ingredients:
  • In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  • Form Dough:
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Knead Dough:
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • First Rise:
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Shape Rolls:
  • Punch down the dough, shape into 12 rolls, and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Second Rise:
  • Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake:
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown. Optionally, brush with melted butter for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Make Ahead Tip: Prepare the dough a day before and refrigerate overnight after the first rise.
  • Freezing: Cool baked rolls completely and freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
