For the Pasta:
- 8 oz about half a box of your favorite pasta (penne, fusilli, etc.)
- 500 ml water
- A pinch of salt
For the Ground Beef Sauce:
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20 works best for flavor
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Optional: A handful of fresh spinach or arugula
Optional: A pinch of red pepper flakes (if you like a little heat)
