Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak or ribeye, or sirloin
  • 12 slider buns or mini brioche buns
  • 4 slices provolone cheese or any melting cheese of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional Add-ins:
  • Mayonnaise or Dijon mustard
  • Sautéed mushrooms or pickles

Instructions

  • Season the flank steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for your preferred doneness. Let the steak rest before slicing it into thin strips.
  • In the same skillet, heat butter and the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 8-10 minutes until caramelized. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice slider buns and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Spoon caramelized onions and garlic onto the bottom half of each bun. Layer with sliced steak and top with provolone cheese. Place the top half of the bun on each slider.
  • Optional: Brush the tops of the buns with butter and a sprinkle of salt for extra flavor.
  • Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
  • Serve and enjoy!

  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Customization: Feel free to add extras like sautéed mushrooms, avocado, or a different type of cheese for a unique twist.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve with crispy fries, a light salad, or pickles on the side.
