I make these mini cheeseburgers whenever we have a family get-together or summer barbecue. They’re the perfect size for kids and easy to eat on the go. Everyone loves them because they’re fun, tasty, and just the right size!
Fun Variations:
You can switch up these mini burgers however you like! For a different taste, try using pepper jack cheese for a bit of spice or adding a touch of barbecue sauce to the beef before grilling. You could even turn these into mini veggie burgers by swapping ground beef for black bean patties. They’re so flexible!
What You Need to Make It:
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 mini burger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese, each cut into quarters (12 pieces)
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, mustard
How to Make It:
- I start by mixing the ground beef with salt and pepper, being careful not to overmix.
- I divide the beef into 12 equal portions and shape each one into a small patty to fit the mini buns.
- I heat up the grill or skillet to medium-high heat and cook each patty for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they’re done the way I like.
- Just before they’re finished, I add a piece of cheese on each patty to let it melt slightly.
- To assemble, I place each cheeseburger on a bun and add any toppings like lettuce, tomato, or pickles.
- I serve these mini burgers hot with a side of ketchup and mustard!

Serving and Storage Tips:
- Serve these mini burgers warm for the best taste!
- If you have extras, store them in the fridge for up to two days. Just reheat in a skillet or microwave to bring back some warmth and flavor.
- These also freeze well! After cooking, let them cool and store them in a freezer-safe container for up to a month. Just thaw and reheat.
Tips:
- To keep the burgers extra juicy, try not to press down on them while they cook.
- For an extra flavor boost, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture before cooking.
- If you like a little crunch, toast the buns lightly on the grill before assembling.
These mini cheeseburgers are always a big hit, and I love how quick they are to make! Perfect for parties, BBQs, or just a fun meal at home.
