I love making this watermelon green tea, especially when the weather’s hot. It’s so refreshing and healthy! The watermelon gives it a sweet taste, and the green tea is full of antioxidants. It’s one of my favorite drinks to sip on during the summer.
How to Make My Kids Drink It:
If I want my kids to drink this, I make it fun! I use a colorful cup and add a fun straw to make it look exciting. Sometimes I even freeze small pieces of watermelon and use them as ice cubes, which makes it more fun and keeps the drink extra cool. They love the sweet taste of the watermelon, and it’s a treat that’s actually good for them!
What You Need to Make It:
- 2 cups watermelon, cubed
- 2 green tea bags
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 tablespoon honey (Check out Honey Benefits) (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint for garnish (optional)
How to Make It:
- First, I brew the green tea. I boil 2 cups of water and pour it over the tea bags. I let it steep for about 3-5 minutes, then remove the bags.
- While the tea is cooling, I blend the watermelon cubes in a blender until smooth.
- Once the tea has cooled down a little, I mix it with the watermelon puree. If I want it sweeter, I add a tablespoon of honey.
- I pour the drink over ice cubes and stir it well.
- Finally, I garnish it with fresh mint if I have some.

Serving and Storage Tips:
- This drink is best served cold, so I always pour it over ice.
- You can make a big batch and store it in the fridge. It will stay fresh for a couple of days.
- If you have extra watermelon, you can freeze it in cubes to use as ice cubes next time!
Tips:
- If you want a stronger green tea flavor, you can brew the tea for a little longer.
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Adding a few fresh mint leaves gives it a nice, fresh taste.
Enjoy your watermelon green tea! It’s an easy, tasty drink that’s perfect for staying cool and hydrated.
